Yesterday, we shared the story of Sunita and their situation involving another co-working disliking and constantly criticizing them. (To read the full situation, CLICK HERE to access yesterday's newsletter.) We asked our readers, 'What Would YOU Do?" - and got some EXCELLENT responses. Here's what they said:

In my very first job, I was terminated in six months. It was the defining trauma of my life. I have been where you are and survived to tell the story. Warning: Sunita, you are being set up to fail. You have two options: fight or leave. If you fight, you are going to have to grow strong upper-level allies very quickly. You have got to gain trust, be likable and make all the accusations a lie. You have to gain your fan club and command your emotions extremely well. You have to make sure the right people know what positive work you are doing. If you cannot do that in 30-60 days you may have to find a new job. Leave on your own terms before you are asked to leave. Weigh the cost of leaving or staying to your well-being. Ask yourself if your final decision makes sense.

The guy and the boss are total arseholes, sorry to say. Who cares if he can do the job if his attitude is so disrespectful and disruptive. Is that actually doing the job? First, start looking, second build a network of support, anyone else have trouble with the guy? Third, you could try speaking directly to him about his overly immature reaction. Guess it’s not about may the best person triumph. Fourth, go back to boss to let him know about ailments and also question the ‘performance’ aspect. Is this a workplace that needs to move to more inclusive reviews?

Recently, more and more workers are paying attention to benefits offered at their potential workplace.

One of these benefits includes a pet-friendly office!

While some people may seem hesitant about allowing pets in the office, there are actually a lot of benefits. And with more and more people owning pets, employees have to find a way to care for their pet when they go into the office.

If you’re considering making your office pet-friendly or working for one that is, take these benefits into account when making your decision.

Did you know it is fairly common to be asked an illegal question during a job interview?

Many of these illegal questions are pretty obviously illegal, but some seem like they could be legit interview questions. These questions are illegal because they have nothing to do with the job and might be discriminatory.

It’s good to know what these illegal questions are, so if you ever encounter one you will know you know how to respond accordingly.
