Why?

In her own words:

"The increase in messages I've received recently from followers struggling to get hired has made me decide to offer private coaching. I normally only offer these types of sessions to members of our Work It DAILY platform, but am now allowing non-members to book a call in hopes I can provide much needed support."

Are your potential employers checking our your social media?

Whether you are an avid social media user or not, your digital footprint is a real thing that can make a difference in you getting hired or not. Your posts, likes, and followers makes a statement about who you are as a person, which is something many employers take into account.

In fact, a study done from CareerBuilder states that 70% of employers use social media to check out potential employees. So if you think you won’t have employers looking at your social media, think again.

If you are trying to get hired right now, think about what you have out on social media and what you post in the future. It can make all the difference.

And if you are unsure about what you should avoid doing, here are some guidelines to help you out.

5 Reasons To Make SurveyJunkie Your Next Side Hustle

There are several reasons why someone might choose to have a side hustle as an online survey taker for SurveyJunkie. Here are five possible reasons:

1. Flexibility: Online survey taking allows for flexibility in terms of working hours. As a survey taker, you can typically choose when and where you want to complete surveys. This flexibility is especially beneficial for individuals who have other commitments such as a full-time job, studies, or family responsibilities.

2. Extra Income: One of the primary motivations for having a side hustle is to earn additional income. SurveyJunkie offers compensation to survey takers for completing surveys. While the income may vary depending on factors like survey length and complexity, it can be a convenient way to supplement your regular income or save up for specific goals.

3. Low Entry Barrier: Starting as an online survey taker usually has a low barrier to entry. SurveyJunkie, for example, allows individuals to sign up easily and start taking surveys without requiring specialized skills or experience. This accessibility makes it an attractive option for people looking to earn money without needing extensive training or qualifications.

4. Work from Anywhere: Online survey taking provides the opportunity to work from anywhere with an internet connection. Whether you prefer to work from the comfort of your home, a coffee shop, or while traveling, as long as you have access to the internet, you can take surveys and earn money. This flexibility can be particularly appealing for digital nomads or individuals seeking location-independent work.

5. Variety and Engagement: Participating in online surveys exposes you to a range of topics and provides an opportunity to share your opinions. This can be interesting and engaging for individuals who enjoy expressing their thoughts, providing feedback, or learning about different subjects. It can also serve as a way to stay updated on market trends, consumer preferences, and new products or services.

Did great in the interview, but didn’t get the job? Often people do really well in an interview and are even told by the hiring manager that they did really well, however, they still aren’t offered the job. Why would the hiring team lie to you? They didn’t. You DID do a good job, but so did the other candidates. You need to be able to stand out from these other candidates, and that usually lies in how you answer behavioral interview questions:

There are some crazy interview stories out there, and below are three interview experience stories. However, two of them are true and one is a lie. Can you figure out which one we made up?

Story #1: I was 18 years old and applying for a sales job at a large retail store that was just about to open. The very first sentence this woman said to me during the interview was, "We work on a demerit points system here, this should keep you in line, and if it doesn't, you're out after your fourth demerit. No excuses." Literally no introducing herself, shaking my hand, nothing. She just looked at me and immediately said that. I thanked her for her time and walked out of the building. No thanks. I was looking for employment, not a detention center.

Story #2: I was interviewing for my first job out of college and I was really excited about the position. The second I walked into the interview room something felt off. The interview was going okay and I was answering basic questions, however, the hiring manager looked really unimpressed. At the end of the interview I asked if everything was okay and she said “Do you really think your outfit was appropriate for this?” I didn’t really know what to say, so I apologized, thanked her for the interview, and left. I thought my outfit was perfectly appropriate and so did my friends and family. Clearly she was having a bad day or something. Let’s just say I never heard back and I was okay with that.

Story #3: I interviewed for a receptionist position. The owner of the business was interviewing me. Everything was going great. He told me about how he started his own business, his work history, normal interview stuff. He proceeds to ask me if I'm willing to work hard. I said yes. "Even if that means giving your boss a massage sometimes?" Confused, I asked him what he meant by that. He explained that sometimes you have to do what you have to do to get far in life. I told him I'm not comfortable with that and he said, "Well, I don't think this will work then" and I left.

Which story is the lie?
