Min’s company went fully remote during the pandemic. While they enjoyed it at first, now they are finding it depressing to work from home every day. They have asked a few co-workers if they wanted to meet at a local coffee shop. But oddly, when their boss heard about it, he made the comment in a meeting that they were “blowing off the day to hang out.” So now everyone doesn’t want to meet up to work together for fear that the boss thinks they aren’t working. Min doesn’t want to leave, but is getting more depressed by the day. They struggle to focus and work quality is slipping.
