We are living in the the Fourth Industrial Revolution.

The AI revolution is coming at us hot and heavy. For many it’s an exciting time, while others are very weary of the power it holds. There is no doubt that AI is changing the way we live and work. So how does it apply to our community here at Work It DAILY?

It’s easy to jump to the conclusion that AI holds the key to success for landing your dream job. There are already so many AI powered tools to write resumes and cover letters. Which sounds great at first, but there is something these tools lack… human connection.

Genuine human connection and authentic conversations are a huge part of anyone’s career success, which is something AI can’t do. Here’s more on the power of genuine connections in your career.

5 Reasons To Make SurveyJunkie Your Next Side Hustle

There are several reasons why someone might choose to have a side hustle as an online survey taker for SurveyJunkie. Here are just a few:

1. Flexibility: Online survey taking allows for flexibility in terms of working hours. As a survey taker, you can typically choose when and where you want to complete surveys. This flexibility is especially beneficial for individuals who have other commitments such as a full-time job, studies, or family responsibilities.

2. Extra Income: One of the primary motivations for having a side hustle is to earn additional income. SurveyJunkie offers compensation to survey takers for completing surveys. While the income may vary depending on factors like survey length and complexity, it can be a convenient way to supplement your regular income or save up for specific goals.

3. Low Entry Barrier: Starting as an online survey taker usually has a low barrier to entry. SurveyJunkie, for example, allows individuals to sign up easily and start taking surveys without requiring specialized skills or experience. This accessibility makes it an attractive option for people looking to earn money without needing extensive training or qualifications.

4. Work from Anywhere: Online survey taking provides the opportunity to work from anywhere with an internet connection. Whether you prefer to work from the comfort of your home, a coffee shop, or while traveling, as long as you have access to the internet, you can take surveys and earn money. This flexibility can be particularly appealing for digital nomads or individuals seeking location-independent work.

5. Variety and Engagement: Participating in online surveys exposes you to a range of topics and provides an opportunity to share your opinions. This can be interesting and engaging for individuals who enjoy expressing their thoughts, providing feedback, or learning about different subjects. It can also serve as a way to stay updated on market trends, consumer preferences, and new products or services.

What Would You Do? Yesterday, we shared the story of Jose and how his boss would not let him meet with a customer because of a black eye he got over the weekend. (To read the full situation, CLICK HERE to access yesterday's newsletter.) We asked our readers, 'What Would YOU Do?" - and got some EXCELLENT responses. Here's what they said:

If I were in Jose's situation, here's what I would do:

Calm Down: First, I would take some time to calm down and try to manage my anger and frustration. It's essential to approach this situation with a clear and level head.

Seek Clarification: I would request a meeting with my boss to discuss the situation further. I would explain that my injuries were from a biking fall and not due to any misconduct or negligence on my part. It's crucial to clarify the nature of the injuries and ensure there is no misunderstanding.

Present My Case: During the meeting with my boss, I would present my case logically and professionally. I'd emphasize that I had already prepared for the customer meeting and was confident in my ability to perform well despite my injuries. I would also express my commitment to the job and the client.

Propose Solutions: If my boss remains adamant about assigning someone else to the account, I would propose alternative solutions, such as wearing makeup to cover the visible injuries or bringing a doctor's note to confirm the nature of the injuries and that they do not impact my ability to work effectively.

Consult HR Again: If the issue cannot be resolved with my boss, I would reach out to HR again to explain the situation and seek their guidance on how to proceed. HR might have additional insights or solutions to offer.

Consider the Consequences: I would carefully consider the consequences of quitting without having another job lined up, especially if I don't have enough savings to support myself for an extended period. Leaving abruptly can have long-term financial and career implications.

Explore Other Job Opportunities: While continuing to work in my current position, I would actively start looking for other job opportunities that align with my skills and passion for fitness. It's essential to have a backup plan in case the situation at my current workplace doesn't improve.

Maintain Professionalism: Throughout this process, I would make sure to maintain professionalism and not burn any bridges. This will be important in case I decide to leave the company or if the situation eventually improves.

Ultimately, the goal would be to find a resolution that allows me to continue working effectively in my current role while also exploring potential alternatives if the workplace situation does not improve.
