The workplace is a dynamic place.

As humans, we are not always going to get along with everyone we meet. This applies to our co-workers too, which can create challenges in the workplace.

While most people want to avoid conflict as much as they can, always agreeing with your co-workers isn’t beneficial either. There should be discussion and the encouragement of different ideas and perspectives in the workplace to create well-balanced solutions to problems. However, for some people with different ideas, a conversation can quickly turn into a disagreement.

If two people aren’t getting along at work, their negativity can spread throughout their team and organization. It’s important to know how to handle these types of quarrels to save professional relationships and reputations.

Here four tips to help you mitigate a workplace disagreement.
