  • Two Truths & A Lie. Career edition of course.

  • Artificial Intelligence. What it means for the future of work.

  • Don’t LIE on job applications. That goes for cover letters and resumes too.

  • Tell me about the best/worst manager you had? This is how to answer.

WHO SAID: "Nothing will work unless you do.”

Answer at the bottom of the newsletter.

Below are some stories from interviewers and the crazy experiences they had while interviewing candidates. However, one of the stories is a lie! Can you figure it out?

Story #1: I was interviewing a candidate when she told me she had forgotten to lock her car and asked for permission to go check on it. I said yes. She left and never came back or answered my calls.

Story #2: I was interviewing a candidate and after I asked the first question they started reciting a completely unrelated monologue about their pet parrot's singing skills. It left me at a loss for words.

Story #3: I was interviewing a 22- or 23-year-old student for an internship. He not only showed up with his mother, but also wanted to be accompanied by her during the interview.

Which story is the lie?

Artificial Intelligence (AI) is becoming more and more prevalent every day.

We are seeing and hearing about AI all the time. From self driving cars to ChatGPT, AI is becoming more and more a part of our lives.

But what does that mean for the future of work?

We recently asked out executives this question and here’s what they had to say…

It can be tempting to make up information about yourself during the job application process. You are just trying to make yourself look good right? While this seems like it can’t cause much harm, we don’t recommend lying about your skills or experience just to get a job.

  • 🤥 Don’t lie on job apps!

  • 😱 What to do if you lied on your resume.

These necklaces and watch are the perfect accessory for and work outfit.

What is the number one skill/trait that people need to be incredibly successful?

Our career coaches get asked this question a lot.

Lucky for you, our coaches have noticed that the most successful people they have worked with all had something in common.

And even better for you is that this skill is not something these successful people were born with. Meaning, you can learn how to adopt this skill just like they did.
