If you’re unemployed right now, we want you to stop using that word immediately.

“Unemployed” is a negative word, and all it does is drag you and your job search down. Thus making it harder to stay motivated and land a job.

It’s not a bad or negative that you don’t have a job at the moment, no one stays at the same job or in the same career for their entire lives. It’s okay to have a gap in your employment.

So what should you use instead of “unemployed”?
