From Runner-Up to Must-Have Candidate

Crystal came to me with a problem many job seekers face: consistently being the runner-up in job interviews. Despite making it to the final rounds, she always fell just short of receiving the offer. I coached Crystal on how to weave her UVA into every aspect of her job search—her resume, her LinkedIn profile, and most importantly, her interview responses.

The crux of our strategy was transforming Crystal's interview technique. Instead of merely answering questions, she learned to frame her responses in a way that consistently reinforced her UVA. We practiced storytelling techniques that allowed her to highlight her unique strengths and how they aligned with the company's needs and goals. This approach shifted the narrative from Crystal being a candidate who could do the job to one who could excel in the role and drive the company forward.
