How To Avoid Getting Ghosted By A Recruiter

Being ghosted isn’t just for dating apps.

Have you ever heard about someone getting ghosted on a dating app? Or maybe you have been ghosted yourself. Either way, abruptly never hearing from someone again is very frustrating. You thought you were having a nice conversation, and then they suddenly stop answering you.

Unfortunately, this happens in the job search world too. It’s not uncommon for job seekers to have a recruiter tell them they were “great” during a phone screen and ask to meet the next day. The job seeker obviously say “yes”, but then they get ghosted and never hear from the recruiter again.

So how can you prevent this from happening? While we can’t guarantee you will never be ghosted by a recruiter, we do have a tip to hopefully help avoid it after your next interview.
